Older preschooler/caregiver Class
During our "Sing with Me" classes, we noticed something: some of our oldest students needed a class just for them. And that is when the new class was born.
We recognized that some preschoolers need a little extra challenge and a curriculum tailored to them.
Children and caregivers can expect the same structure as our classic "Sing with Me" experience: sing-a-longs from different cultures and more. Seasonal favorites, hands-on instruments, and a celebration of the basics of music. As we prepare your child for future music education, we want to incorporate group collaboration, advanced rhythms, and steps towards purposeful music-making of their own. We will introduce more music vocabulary, and prompt children to have an “ear” for the concepts.
Above all, the joy of music will be elevated by the child’s active participation. Our goal is to create an age-appropriate setting to appeal to your quickly growing preschoolers!
Like the "Sing with Me" classes, we will meet weekly for a 45 minute class.
Sing with Me! (0-5 years old)
Caregiver/child classes
Our weekly, 45-minute long, classes will allow us all to enjoy the power of group music-making. Children ages 0-5 attend with a parent or caregiver, who provides the music-making model by singing and moving under the teacher's direction (no talent or expertise required!) We will incorporate traditional childrens' music, classical favorites, and original Music Time 4 Kids songs. Children learn through play with singing, dancing, and musical games, and enjoy the use of basic shakers, resonator bells, sticks, scarves, parachutes, drums, and more! They have no idea that they are actually learning the basics of music: singing in tune and moving to a beat! Our goal is for these skills to create a life-long love of music, a strong bond with their parents and caregivers, and a foundation for private music or dance lessons should they choose to pursue them.

Baby siblings must be registered if they are 3 months old at the start of the session.
Preschool and kindergarten siblings may attend if school is unexpectedly closed for weather, etc. Siblings MAY NOT ATTEND IF THEY HAVE STAYED HOME FROM SCHOOL FOR HEALTH REASONS. Thank-you.
